Reading Pace Notes: How Rally Co-Drivers Actually Work

Pace
notes are a detailed, coded description of every corner, crest, and hazard on
a rally stage, read aloud by the co-driver in real time as the driver
approaches each section blind at speed. Learning to trust a co-driver’s call
over your own eyes, especially on a stage you’ve never seen at racing speed,
is one of the hardest skills in all of motorsport.
